Can't stop thinking about the people of Missisippi and Louisiana.
It's so incensing that they get this dreadful rescue response to their needs. Hell it's god damn America! The country that invades every fucking country in less that 24 hours after the march order... It's been 5 days now and there are still thousands of people without food, water, medicine and other vital things.

I do live in a place where flood waters are seen quite regulary and I do know what it means to loose everything, to sit on rooftops waiting for somebody to rescue you... but I do know too that those salvations can take place in fewer time or at least that the victims can be provided with all the necessary things the need .

And now - the order to shoot looters. I can't believe it. To be honest - I'd do everything to keep my family and me alive ... and if it would be necessary to loot shops I'd do it... and... honestly... if there would be a jewelers shop on my way I'd probably take some rings or bracelets there too, because you need to make money somehow after you survived.
I know it's not nice, but it's true.

Gods I really don't understand it... why is this happening?
You know we're not talking about some poor third world country... we're talking about New Orleans. Fucking goddamnit! New Orleans.

They all knew - it's not only known since Monday that the city is built lower than sea level. Even I -the Austrian girl- did know this before... and they knew there was this hurricane on his way... they knew and they could predict what was going to happen. It's been quite obvious.

So WHY didn't they (the gouvernment) take all the necessary precautions?

And the worst ... no matter how bad this is... human kind won't learn anything... next time we're going to have the whole desaster again... same script different cast...

Aber das ist wieder typisch Amerika, das Land in dem alles möglich ist. Einerseits schillernde, reiche Metropole, andererseits der Anti-Sozialstaat.

Jup, das ist es. Damit kann man es wohl in zwei Sätzen zusammen fassen die Lage.

Alles in allem erinnert mich dein Eintrag an das neue Lied von "Fettes Brot" da singen sie so ein remake von Jeanny über die Nachrichten im Allgemeinen und das man Angst kriegen kann, wenn man verfolgt was so los ist in der Welt.

Ja? Na ich glaub dann muss ich mir das irgendwo mal anhören bzw. den Text raussuchen und mal ansehen. Klingt interessant.

wie gesagt, den ganzen text habe ich noch nicht raus, aber habe grade gegoogelt und diesen link gefunden. auf dsl oder modem klicken, dann lädt sich das lied in den realplayer. was mir daran ganz und gar nicht passt ist nat. der geklaute beat von falco, aber der text jagd mir gänsehaut über die Arme.
