Exam, birthday and fanfiction

Yeah, I'm really proud... I DID IT!
Today I really, truly took thefucking exam... after two weeks of studying until my eyes went blurry and my head threatened to blow up. And hey - I didn't get it. Most of it. Sitting there 24/7 for two fucking weeks including MY OWN BIRTHDAY!!! and I still had no idea of what's going on yesterday evening *sigh*
Think I did quite well, all things considered.
I should be passing the exam IF (and hell, that's a big, big "if") the transcription is ... well with less than 15 mistakes... which I doubt and hope at the same time. I know it's been a pretty easy piece of text but I simply had no idea of what I'm doing. I'm fine as long as Himself reads out the text for me, but without him I'm at a complete loss of detecting the distinctions of /s/ and /z/ and such nice things...
*sighs* well... what is, is... as Harry used to say ;)
And there we are ... Harry, Snape, the fanfiction with "What is, is" as its main motive... here comes the Snarry rec of the day:

I really enjoyed the whole story. Not just because it's been a fairly good idea (and in fact a quite overused one *sigh*) but because it's done in a unique way I have never encountered before. The underlying idea is simply wonderful and her details and realization are simply breathtaking.
So - go... read! ;)
And last point of the list: my birthday.
Well - nothing new under the sun... I'm older, I feel the same as before... and I spent nearly the whole day learning.
Nevertheless... great presents... (*gapes at her very own laptop* *drools*) thanks to all who remembered the day ... *huggles*
