19 - The Male Body
:D
Or more specifically, the things I love in a man apart from personality ;)
Let me start by saying that I'm a lover of the more androgynous look in men. Nothing too girly, obviously, but I love the more delicately built men. Which might explain why I love long-haired men as well, but let's not think too much about that :D
Anyway - one of the very few exceptions of this preference is Viggo. So yeah, for variety's sake, I'm sometimes quite taken with the ruggedly handsome look as well (think: Aragorn - a PERFECT mixture of very manly man paired with long hair... I'm forever in love!)
Right, I'm going to add a bunch of pictures to illustrate my point - and thankfully for all of us the lovely Orlando makes a very good example :D
Okay, let's start with something I have mentioned before:
A NICE BUM
Yes, I've been known to drool over a nicely shaped male butt from time to time. I like them rather small but firm, round and luscious. The perfect bum-size? Something to comfortably grab and hold on to, of course! ;)
(for our amusement, the Orli-bum once again!)
Let's stay at this side of the body and move up a bit...
A STRONG BACK
I'm pretty partial for nice backs. I've never really known that about me before I've visited Himself while he was climbing last summer. Lucky for me - at 30+° Celsius there were a bunch of men climbing shirtless and after my first glimpse of the play of back and shoulder muscles under sweaty skin I was taken :) Don't ask me why I've never really payed attention to the male back before, but better late than never, right?
By now I know that I'm partial to broad(er) backs, with a bit of muscles and some interesting dimples at the base of the spine can't be wrong either. And I'm particularly in love with the muscles in the upper back/shoulder region that can be seen when guys raise their arms up.
(A suggestion of muscles, a hint dimples... yep, I like! - and now that I look at it, he does have nice calves as well!)
(Yep, that's the arm/shoulder/back-combo I'm talking about *happy sigh*)
(Bum in leather AND a strong back? Sign me up, please! - plus, even if it sounds strange, I love the scar... it gives his back additional character)
(A WET back? In WET trousers? HELL YEAH!)
Okay, let's move on to the front...
A NICELY MUSCELDED CHEST
And that's where I get VERY picky. There's just a small margin between "yeah, that's a nice body" and "urgh! I need to vomit!". A guy looking like he spends the majority of his days at the gym is a complete turn-off for me. A really defined six-pack is also a huge no-go. I'm sorry, I know people put a lot of time and effort into looking like that, but where I'm concerned it's wasted money and time :) Another thing I'm really not the biggest fan of is a particularly defined iliac crest. I know many women go completely bonkers when a man sports that "V", but I'm a bit different once again ;) Yes, this part of the male body can be very sexy, but once it is really defined... nope.
(Strong arms? Check. Nice pecs but not too much? Check. No defined six-back but still a hard stomach? Check. PERFECT!)
(That's exactly the amount of iliac crest I can drool over. Sexy, drawing the eye to what's waiting below the belt, a dream!)
(This picture shows the exact amount of muscle that still passes for sexy for me. Even a tiny bit more would be too much.)
(Yes! Yes I do! Very much!!!!)
(I love the low slung pants and the (fake) tattoos... And the trunk covering the iliac ridge is a bonus because -on the left pic- the shadow on his right side hints that this degree of definition might be a bit too much for me to call it sexy still.)
After the upper body, the obvious next part is...
STRONG ARMS
Oh yeah. A guy who can pick me up easily or at least looks like he could is a very yum thing indeed.
Once again - there's a small margin between "strong arms with well-defined muscles" and "holy fuck, does this guy do anything but lifting weights?! Urgh!"
(Strong, nice muscles, but not the "I'm living in the gym"-look... YES!)
(And the tattoos on the inside of his arms? God I love them! So so much!)
(You might have sussed me out by now - I really adore the pics of this shoot. Lovely well-defined arms. And the handsome face doesn't hurt either ;) Love the smile in the second pic.)
(And another shot of the fabulous tree-tattoo (I wish it were real!) topped off by these lovely strong arms. *happy sigh*)
(And for once, let's take a look at Viggo... a screenshot of his Icebucket Challenge, and I confess - I have spent considerable time drooling over his arms here. I mean, a wet Viggo is a drool-worthy sight any time, but those arms really really topped it off perfectly ;) )
And lastly, we move a bit upwards... Here's my appreciation for:
MEN WITH BUNS
As I mentioned before, I'm a complete sucker for men with long hair. IF said hair is well-maintained, lush and not too long.
The average Metal-head does nothing for me, except making me want to a) make them wash their hair or b) drag them off to a hairdresser. But a good-looking guy with good-looking longish hair? YUMMY!
(And let's be honest - it's a pleasure to bury your hands in long hair and hold on while... well you know when ;) )
And if said hair is worn in a bun I go weak in the knees.
Either pulled together messily at the nape or a full-blown top-knot... perfection!
(Yes, I ALSO like to pull out hair ties and let the hair flow through my fingers at the right moment ;) )
(The suit? Yummy in and of itself! The little bun? A definite bonus! Those loose curls framing his head/brow? SEXY AS FUCK!)
(A tidier and tighter tied bun - still lovely!)
(The messy "just shagged and staggered out of bed"-look? HELL YEAH! *drools*)
(And this one looks tied when the hair was still wet... which is a very nice thing to think about!)
After years and years of pleading with Himself he finally gave in and let his hair grow out over the last 1.5 years. And what can I say? I KNEW he'd look great with long hair and suspected he'd rock a bun... I didn't know how right I was :D
And since I -finally- figured out that I can make pics available for my friends only, I'll upload a couple of Himself-with-bun pics ;)
(By now we've graduated to a top-knot... when this pic was taken the hair was still a bit too short for that)
(Front view for once... but the glasses look weird, he hasn't worn them in years)
(Two shots of the mega-fluffy lovely bun made possible by pool water ;) - I tied those, still love them)
(Tiny bun exactly a year ago... we both rock our "skiing hairstyle" - I'm still not sure how he managed to get the bun inside his helmet... I had to switch to pigtails for comfort)
(With his very adorable niece -blurred for obvious reasons- rocking the everyday-casual look)
