Aug. 19th, 2005 02:48 pmThe Pope's in Germany.
Two years ago I planned to go to the 20thWorld Youth Day in Cologne too, but my life and my interests have changed.
Today I'm watching the news, seeing all the people there and wonder if people from all around the world are there to see the Pope or to celebrate God? If the last one is the case - fantastic; if the first - I dont' think that's right.
To be honest - WHO is the Pope? It's just kind of the "president" of the catholic church, not somebody who should be worshipped.
I AM Catholic. At least that's what's written in my official documents. I DO believe in GOD, not in any church/religion. A fact hardly anybody understands. People think you have to be a Protestant or a Catholic or anything else to believe in God, I think you don't have to be anything to believe.
Believing is a personal thing, it's a connection between God and myself and I'm the one who has to deal with it. God, myself and nobody else. What's good and right for me can be completely wrong for any other person around the world. It's my way I have to go, my road of life I have to travel and I don't need a Pope, a Priest or anybody else to tell me if it's right what I'm doing. The only one I have to answer to is God, not one of his self-proclaimed henchmen.
