Emergency Room, George Clooney, alcohol
Dec. 10th, 2005 05:14 pmHad a tough day yestarday.
After a night nearly without sleep (I think I managed to doze off for a total of about 40 minutes) I turned into a nervous wreck 'cause I couldn't stand the pain, the nausea, the insomnia, that were my shadow the last two weeks, anymore.
So my mum decided to take me to the emergency room of our local hospital.
Well... we arrived there at about 9 a.m.
They KNEW I was in pain.
And they had me wait for about two and a half hours to see a doctor.
THANK YOU! Very much so.
I could have had an acute appendix and died right there and no one would have as much as noticed it.
Well I obviousely didn't die and finally the George Clooney of my hometown ER showed up, ready to... to what? Nudge my belly at random places, smile and tell me that I don't have anything life-threatening. Why, thank you! I would have never guessed... if I had something possibly mortal I would probably have met my maker at one time during the last 14 days. But nice to point it out, anyway.
Mr. George Clooney told me to see my general practitioner next week, gave me another smile and off he went.
So... Pain... check, still there.
Nausea... check, still there.
You can imagine the delight I felt while driving home *smirk*
At home my dad gave me the wonderful advice: "You really should get drunk!".
Awwww... okay dad... have you gone mental?
But loving daughter I am... I followed his advice. To a certain extent.
I have been to a birthdayparty yesterday evening and drank some beer and cocktail.
And now... guess what!
Right... I don't have any of the mentioned symptoms anymore.
Nearly 24 hours without pain and nausea and with some wonderful hours of restfull sleep.
What the heck is going on in my body???
Well... to be honest - as long as it stays the way it is, I really don't care ;)
