NaNoWriMo Update - Day 20

Well, well... that went somewhere I didn't expect *scratches head*
The boys hijacked the story and did things I really hadn't planned. Hm.

I really love how Viggo's backstory turned out, but I'm not so sure about Orlando... I really didn't plan on revealing that bit about his past that early in the story. It fits, yes, but I'm not sure if it doesn't take away from the overall story-arc that way.

Ah well, I'll keep it like that for now and see if I can make my idea work the way I planned it to despite giving that much away that early. If it doesn't, I can go back and edit it later anyway. :)

Today I got a shitload of writing done (the story getting hijacked does have its advantages, it seems :D ), so here are my "before midnight" and "2:30 a.m" screenshots:

You are making fantastic progress - and I expect Orlando knows best!

Ask yourself not why did he say that there, but why wouldn't he say that there? If it seemed like the most appropriate thing for him to say then it was probably the right choice, even if it wasn't what you planned.

What gave you the idea that you were in charge anyway? ROFLMAO!! The boys know best every time in my humble experience!

THAT I have realized by now as well :D (just took me 24 days and 45.000 words *lol*)

Those two are driving me crazy with their stubborn refusal to finally, finally kiss, but as you said, they know what they're doing. (Hopefully?!)

And yes, in the circumstance saying what the did was the most appropriate thing he could do. And it helped in establishing a greater sense of trust between them that ultimately makes the friendship (as well as an eventual relationship) more real, more profound.
So yeah, it most likely WAS the right thing to write at this very moment, but I'm still a bit angry at him for fucking up the ONLY plan I've had story-wise :D

But I guess I'll have to tape a post-it with your words of wisdom on it to my screen, just to remind myself that "Orlando knows best!" ;)
