Well, I actually shouldn't be doing it, since I absolutely shouldn't have the time for it, but it seemed like fun, so I've stolen the idea from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] silvan_lady...

Ask me for my top five in any category, and I'll try to figure out answers.

Have fun and go wild, folks! :D

The top five places you have visited outside of your own country!

I fear you'll have to come up with another question, since there are exactly three items that could make it on that list:

1. - London!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. - Prague (despite having my backpack stolen and VERY unhelpful police guys)
3. - Cologne (I actually don't like the city very much, but the second time I've been there has been when things between Himself and me started - sharing a hotel room sometimes has interesting (and long lasting) consequences - and no, there was no sex involved :D)

I'm not a very well-travelled girl :/ And if I've been outside my country it's mostly been to Germany and quite frankly, none of these places really stood out in any way.

Okay, three is a good effort, but it says five so....

Five things you remember from your childhood.

Hm.... okay, let's see:

1 - my dad used to make my towel into a "hammock" after I had a bath and would swing me around hanging between his arms, I used to love that.

2 - doing a lot of things I wasn't allowed to do with my gang of friends. Across the street from where I/we lived, there was (and is) a forest - which was forbidden territory for me. My mum really didn't like the idea of us kids unsupervised (and of course without cellphones at that time) in there - needless to say, we did spend most of our summers in the woods, anyway. Looking back, I am constantly surprised that no one of us got hurt, since we were always climbing even the tallest trees, jumping over really wide and deep gouges, built fires, raced each other down steep inclines (oftentimes with our bikes, right over stones and roots and fallen logs and what not),... We really went wild out there, and it's been a blast.

3 - skiing. I learned to ski while I was still wearing nappies and I remember how much I loved it (and still do).

4 - eating with my dad ;) There's a picture of me as a very young kid (maybe 2?) eating "Kaiserschmarren" (a sweet dish) directly out of the pan resting on the opened oven door with my dad. I'm sure my mum wasn't amused about us snacking like that, but times like these are a rather fun memory. (And it just goes to show how much I loved eating even then - most of my memories are in some way associated with food :D )

5 - reading. My mum taught me to read when I was three or four and I remember how much I loved snuggling in my bed or on the sofa with a book during my childhood. Books have always been my best and truest friends, and I can't thank my mum enough for the love for reading she passed onto me at such a young age.
