Post-NaNoWriMo Update - January 25, 2017

Total Words Written: 116.198

Despite being rather unmotivated I forced myself to write for a bit tonight, and what can I say? Whenever I'm not paying attention at 100%, the boys decide to go off on a tangent.
So, there's still no actual fucking happening, but we've discovered a rather suprising fact about Orlando. Surprising for me, at least.

Ah well, why not - I'm going to roll with it, and see where it leads me :D (at the very least I should get an interesting sex-scene out of it at some later date *grins*)

Anyway, with the discovery stunning me into silence for some time before I managed to decide on keeping the idea, it's grown later than I thought I would be finished writing for today, so I'm going to go to bed now instead of catching up on un-read ficlets, new entries and a whole lot of comments waiting for me...
I'll try again tomorrow :)

Isn't it funny how you're doing the writing but it's the characters who decide for themselves what's happening?

It absolutely is! (Although I have to admit that the boys are driving me crazy with their ideas of what's going to happen or not, sometimes... thanks to them completely taking over the story's development I STILL haven't gotten around to introducing the main plot after 110.000+ words *rolls eyes*)

Let's see if you're still intrigued by Orlando's surprise once this monster is actually being ready to be read :D
With a few days between writing it and now I'm shaking my head at the thing, right at this very moment :D

I would pee my pants in excitement if I stumbled over a "new" V/O fic that hasn't even started on the main plot at ~120.000 words. There's MUCH more to write, I'm sure :)

But as a reality check - I suspect the lovely Silv will have to tell me to delete big junks of what I've written so far, once she gets to play beta... I have a tendency to write on and on and on and on (as my comments/replies illustrate)

Yes, the deleting... For Wake, I had to almost entirely re-write the last chapter due to Gatty giving me a reality check. Of course, it's still a bit outside of real life, this fic, but she had to reign me in a bit. LOL That's what a great beta is for!

Absolutely!

I just hope Silv will still be willing to play the heroic beta after reading the first 50.000 words (that is, before the kissing, sexy-time, fun things even start *lol*). I'm very much counting on her giving me the reality check I'm sure my very wonky writing is in dire need of :D
