After an annoying day (spending your anniversary locked in a not-talking match for absolutely childish reasons counts as annoying, right?)and some very good news (yaaaaaaaaay! no more History of English for moi!), I spent the last 3 hours happily writing 1800+ words of pure sex... Great ending to an overall meh! day ;)
Vig/Orli sex really always works, no matter what *smirks*
And tomorrow? I might actually write some *gasps* plot! Wo-hooooo!
In order to be able to do that, I'm trying to get to bed "early" (aka before 5 in the morning) today, so I'll work through your posts, comments, PM's, etc tomorrow!
Nighty-night my dears! *hugs*

Date: 2017-02-15 09:36 pm (UTC)Yeah, I have been eager to pass that class - it was extremely interesting, but had too many aspects that just don't come easily for me (*coughs* syntax *coughs* grammar *coughs*), so I really doubted I would pass that fucking thing.
I loved the concept of HoE - a lot of actual history (which was the easiest part, quite frankly), an even bigger lot of historical linguistics (quite fascinating, but a bitch to remember), and a heavy dash of Old and Middle English texts to work with (fun, very much fun, particularly the parts of Beowulf we did - shades of Tolkien there!, but I could have done without having to analyze the grammatical structure/syntax of the texts *shudders*)

Date: 2017-02-16 02:27 pm (UTC)So I see, I didn't notice that ff in English, sorry. but it's good it's HP, I love HP too, although I'm not really into any shipping there. Yet, at least.
You doubted it but here you are, having passed that shit. :D Oh, of course it wouldn't be JUST history, come on, what are we, High School? No, of course we have to have 1-2 more things besides history... but if they are important and necessary, what to do? I wish it was still like HS though. Easier. "sigh" But still, whatever you get to learn is helpful (the thing is, who sits their ass down to actually study and remember all this stuff...) I wish there were no exams. :)

Date: 2017-02-16 10:38 pm (UTC)I wish our stupid government, or whoever was responsible for that shit, would see that our old systems were better and would draw back out of the Bachelor/Master system. I know most of the rest of the world does it that way, but things really went downhill when our universities made the change. As somebody who has experienced the way things were before, I can say with absolute sincerity that studying was way better then - I've had so much more options to really focus on what I was interested in, instead of stupidly ticking off course after course of stuff I know I'll never again use (or want to use) in my life. By now university with its strict corset of "take that course, then that, if you have these you can/must do that and once you've reached X credit points we'll hand over your degree" is more like High School for Older People, than what a university should and can be.
Ah well, the times they are a-changing... ;)

I hope for your best. :)

Date: 2017-02-17 10:13 pm (UTC)Well, our "new" system is what Europe/the EU has cooked up as "the perfect way to make sure we're comparable to the US/UK system". Well. Yeah - NO. But thanks for trying to fuck another perfectly fine thing up. As usual. ;)
But as age comes with wisdom - I'm perfectly fine with taking courses I don't "need" just because they are what I want to know about, no matter if getting my degree takes longer that way. :D

Date: 2017-02-18 05:16 pm (UTC)New systems are often worse than the previous ones... Unfortunately. Well, I should shut up because our education is fairly free, but I have many complains about it as well.
Oh, I think it is a win-lose situtaion here, but the win outweighs the lose by far. learning what you want is always nice. :D

Date: 2017-02-20 10:05 pm (UTC)But as long as the good aspects outweigh the bad ones, or you can make the system work for you, then that's good, right? :)

Date: 2017-02-15 10:17 pm (UTC)We've spent the whole week locked in a passive-aggressive semi-war, for whatever reason (I suspect good old Himself had a bad case of men-PMS... it happens...).
Thankfully we're at least back to civil conduct by now. *snorts* Ah well, let him be on the mental side... gives me more time to write, right?! ;)
