I took the chance and spent my last free Wednesday (YES! Another course has been added to my schedule, cutting short my already spare writing time on Wednesdays even shorter! *rolls eyes*) writing inbetween all the other things I had to get done today.
I swear, for a person who planned to do just two lectures this semester, my schedule has filled up like crazy with all these offered optional tutorials and transcription courses supplementing said lectures popping up left, right and centre. But if I have learned one thing in all my long years at uni: never skip a tutorial, they make life way easier once exams roll around (particularly for things like phonetic transcriptions, which never have been my strongest suit anyway).
Ah well, if that leads to me having to do a bit less studying in June, I'll have to learn to live with sacrificing a few hours of writing each week, I guess :/
On the bright side, I have put into motion another one of my planned story arcs and have nearly reached the next bout of excited romping our boys will engange in ;) So there's that to look forward to writing sometime over the next couple of days.
Depending on how my plans for tomorrow after uni look like, I might finally find the time to start working my way through your waiting comments. If there's not enough time to fit that in, I swear I'll catch up with all of you starting on Friday! Pinky promise!
And now I'm off to bed... (yes! That early! Cross your fingers that I can actually fall asleep at what counts as middle of the evening in my world!)

Date: 2017-03-10 10:15 pm (UTC)So no matter if I go to bed early, I most likely won't get more hours of sleep than I'd get if I went to bed at my usual time.
(But hey - I'm currently acing the "get 7 hours sleep each night"-plan... Most of the time it's something like 7h 1min, but it's 7 hours :D)

Date: 2017-03-11 09:48 pm (UTC)I've spent the last years going with 5 or 6 (on very good days) hours per night at most, and I thought trying to get 7 hours would be something worth doing (if just to see if I'll feel less wrung out overall).
Now that I'm forcing myself to go to bed, I'm still not sure if that's the way to go - I might be getting my 7 hours sleep on most nights, but my fitness bracelet tells me that I hardly ever get more than 2 or 2,5 hours of deep sleep, anyway. Which just underscores my subjective feeling that I'm not at all feeling better rested than I did with roughly 5 hours each night.
